Custom fonts are those that aren't built-in to your system. They can include fonts you purchase or specially branded fonts your company uses. If you don't see the font you want to use in Builder by default, but you have the font files, you can upload them to Builder for use in your projects.
This document shows you how to do the following:
👉Tip: Any fonts already installed in your Shopify theme or site's CSS automatically work with Builder and Builder Theme Studio–you do not need to add them separately.
Navigate to the Account Settings section of your account.
Select the pencil icon next to Custom fonts.
Click on the placeholder Custom font 1 to expand its settings.
Click Upload and select your font.
Notice that to delete a font, you click Delete in this same dialogue. You can always come back here to manage your fonts later.
Click the Save button.
If you can't select your file, you need to tell your computer that any file type is permissible. In your operating system dialogue, take the following steps.
On a Mac:
Click the Options button and in the Format dropdown, select All Files, as in the following image:
On a PC:
Next to the File Name dropdown, select All Files, rather than the default of Custom Files, as in the following image:
In the Visual Editor, take the following steps:
- Go to the Style tab.
- Scroll down to the Typography section.
- Click the Font dropdown to find your custom font.
