There are several ways to get started with Fusion. If possible, it is recommended to connect your version control system to Fusion, so that Fusion can create pull requests for your existing applications or create new repositories on your behalf.
There are several ways to get started with Fusion and your existing application:
- Connect a version control system like Git, Azure, or Bitbucket to Fusion.
- Connect to a local repository with the command line or VS Code.
- Connect with the Builder Desktop App.
Fusion supports many major version control systems. To connect your version control system, follow the specific instructions for your version control system, found in the docs navigation.
In general, you can find all version control system within the dropdown menu on the Projects main page of your Space.

For a secure and locally hosted option, consider using the Builder Desktop app. This application provides all of the functionality of Fusion, but can be run locally on your own machine.
The Builder Desktop App allows you to choose how and where your projects run—from cloud-managed containers to your local machine—based on your workflow needs.
